Ava's bold bedroom

My house will be a work in progress, but I am trying to get the bones of all the rooms done. I have most of my daughter's room finished. I painted it a pink color and it was too light, so I repainted it a darker color. It was really bright, but my daughter loves it, and the customer is always right! Lol. Frankly, I was tired of painting anyway! There is also glitter in the paint, but you can only see it when the light hits it.

I think the blues, whites and grays help calm down the loud wall color. The yo-yo quilt at the end of the bed was hand made by me when I was preggers with her. It was a true labor of love that kept my hands busy while answering phones at Sally Mae.

I need to repaint the night stand and fix the legs, it's a little wobbly. The rugs I got on sale at Target, along with the bed spread.

The dresser was painted Annie Sloan's Old White and Miss Mustard Seed's Eulies Sky. I also plan on adding a little color to the angel wings.

I bought the little doll bed and doll dresser at a thrift store on a half off sale day they had, so I only paid $6 for both! What a steal. They will be made over for my "Avacake's" American Girl doll, whom she named Trixie.
