Getting my hands dirty

I know this post is LONG overdue but I have been a busy girl! When I went to Haven earlier this year I got to take a painting class from two amazing women, Miss Mustard Seed and Shauna. They used both Miss Mustard seed milk paint and Annie Sloan chalk paint. We did three different techniques that all give the feel of a restoration hardware look.

We used a few different distressing techniques that included using hemp oil and Miss Mustard Seed's new wax, Puck. I believe the best part of this whole adventure was not just learning new ways to play with paint, but to actually be painting again. Between moving cross country and getting settled, it felt amazing to get my hands dirty again. Being around so many other creative women was such a great experience, I cannot wait to do it again! If you ever get the chance to take a painting class with either of these women, I would do it!! They are both completely amazing.

I cannot tell you how long it has been since I last got my hands dirty with some pain. It felt soooo good!! I hope to use some of these techniques I learned and build on them!
